How did massage enhance your mom-to-be experience?
As a pre-adoptive parent, the waiting was the hardest part. The adoption journey is a beautiful one but there is inherent stress especially when things don’t work out with a placement. Massage helped me stay centered and balanced through the journey, and I’m so grateful to Kua Body for this!
How has massage made an impact on your role as a nurturer and mom?
Bodywork helps me practice equanimity as a mother. It is also the time I serve myself, in addition to serving my family and the larger world.
How does self care like getting regular massage impact your ability to care for your child?
My body struggles to keep up as my son grows! Massage helps me address troubles as they arise like shoulder or back pain. This keeps me healthier and happier, which in turn makes me more present with my son.

How did massage enhance your delivery/ postpartum experience?
During the pregnancy, massage relieved my aching back and helped to calm my nervous system. Massage greatly relaxes me and enables me to breathe more deeply. It was a great feeling knowing baby was getting all of that oxygen in utero and mama was so relaxed!
How has massage made an impact on your role as a nurturer and mom?
Becoming a mother was a wonderful experience, but a challenging experience. Before becoming a mom, I had no idea how exhausted I would be those first few months. I also had no idea how little time I would have for myself between caring for a new infant and returning to a full time job. Getting a massage was the most wonderful treat for me as a new mom. It felt like someone was taking care of me after the countless hours I had been taking care of an infant. It not only physically recharged me, but also mentally revitalized me. After my massage I felt so pampered, relieved and relaxed. I highly recommend it for all mamas!
